of Allegan, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Marble was born June 5, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Sroczynaski) Kurpik. She loved to plant and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens, as well as feed the birds, she especially loved the hummingbirds. Sophie is survived by her 2 children: Linda Snyder, David and Norma Marble; 4 grandchildren: Diane McMann, Stephanie and Mike Ritsema, Derek and Allie Lampen, Kayla Marble; 3 great grandchildren: Tawne and Ethan Aernouts, Malachi Marble, Joshia Sauceda; her great great grandson: Ean Joseph Aernouts; her sister: Christine Boyson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 2014. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, July 26, from 2-4 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11 am, at Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.
