of Allegan, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011. Age 64 years. He was born on May 26, 1947 the son of the late George and Maude (Gage) Simmons. Surviving are his son Frank (Susan) Simmons of Wayland; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill Simmons of Allegan; many nieces and nephews and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Georgiana Burkhead on August 27, 2001; his grandson, Shane Simmons; four brothers, John, Alfred, Clev and Richard; and one sister, Deloris Moby. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Pastor Patricia Catellier will officiate with burial in Hudson Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
