Weaver, Shawn E., age 56 of Allegan, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 after a brief but strong battle with cancer at Allegan General Hospital in Allegan, Michigan. Shawn was born on January 3, 1960 in Carson City, Michigan, the son of Max E. and Marceil H. (Hardman) Weaver. He was a Class of 1978 Hamilton High School graduate. Shawn was employed by Ellis Sales in Oshtemo as a mechanic and truck driver for about ten years. He was also known for his other skill as a custom upholsterer. Shawn was a very selfless person with a big heart who spent his time helping others rather than doing things for himself. He had a great love for his family. Spending time with them and making sure they knew how much he cared was his first priority. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of all the various animals he rescued. Shawn is survived by his wife, Bobbi; his children: Misty Weaver, Heather (Matthew) Bither, Scott Foster, Shannon (Laura) Foster and Tonya Foster; six grandchildren: Kayla, Cotty, Connor, Joseph, Samantha and Michael; two great-grandchildren: Alexis and Isaac; his mother and father: Marceil and Richard Freiberg; one brother: Ernie (Mary) Freiberg; two sisters: Kathy Joppie, Elizabeth (Dean) Dangremond. He was preceded in death by his father, Max Weaver, grandson, Cole and his loving furry companion Daisy. Friends may meet with the family at Dunningville Reformed Church, 2559 Lincoln Rd, Allegan Township, MI 49010, on Saturday, May 7th at 1 pm, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2 pm with Pastor Chris Timmer officiating.
