of Allegan. Died Friday, March 16, 2012. Age 33 years. He was born August 2, 1978, the son of Sherrie (Alexander) VanderPoel and Randy Bryan. He graduated from Allegan High School and then studied EMS at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Shaun worked for Allegan EMS for 8 years. He loved spending time with his friends and enjoyed reading and history. He was married to Edith (Wood) Bryan; she survives him. Surviving besides his wife are two children, Collin Alexander Bryan and Maryfaye Bryan, both of Allegan; his parents, Sherrie VanderPoel of Allegan and Randy (Marleen) Bryan of Rhinelander, WI; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Mary Wood of Kalamazoo; his grandmother, Flossie Alexander; two sisters, Sarah (Dan) Ashley of Allegan and Melissa Bryan of Sandusky, MI; many nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Dale VanderPoel; and his grandfather, Ron Alexander. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Dunningville Reformed Church, 2559 Lincoln St. (M-40 North).
