Sharon Anne Vaughn, 74, of Allegan, MI passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born October 25, 1943 in Zeeland, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Neil Pluister and June Applegate. Ms. Vaughn was a graduate of Zeeland High School and Hope College. She had worked over 25 years as an emergency dispatcher for Allegan County. Ms. Vaughn was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had served as treasurer for twenty years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed scrapbooking. Above all else, Ms. Vaughn loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, BJ Vaughn and Doug Vaughn and wife Michelle; a brother, Bob Pluister and wife Evon; sister-in-law Romaine Stassin and husband Ron; grandchildren, Kelsey and Mike Cottingham and Taylor Vaughn; and her great-grandson, Mike Cottingham; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Pluister. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Allegan County Medical Care Community for the wonderful care they provided. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at which time a memorial service will begin.
