Obituary

Scarlett O'hara (Nunnally) Smith

November 26, 1962 – April 8, 2024

Scarlett O'hara Smith (Nunnally) passed away at her home on April 8, 2024, at the age of 61, in Allegan, Michigan. Born on November 26, 1962, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Scarlett was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy and love to all who knew her.

Scarlett had an interesting life with many twists and turns. If you were part of her journey, you know it's not possible to sum up her life. The most recent turn brought her to Michigan from Indiana where she would fight Cancer with her daughter by her side. She was incredibly strong willed, stubborn, kind, brave, authentic, accepting, giving and very impatient. She knew how to have a good time! More recently, she loved watching her shows, enjoying the birds, planting flowers and spending time with her family.

Scarlett loved her family. She leaves behind her daughter Angela (Eric) Brokus; her siblings Alfie Nunnally, Rachel Russell, Carla Moit, Tom Nunnally, and Charlie Russell; Amber Featherston; and her grandchildren MaKayla King, Aiden King, and Evelyn Brokus.

Scarlett is preceded in death by her parents, Ray Nunnally and Mary Russell (Zook), son Bobby Ray King, brother Raymond Nunnally, and her niece Somer Nunnally.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.

There will be a public gathering of friends and family this Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
