Sarah was a Georgia peach, transplanted to Monterey farm life, where she became a friend to everyone, always upbeat and positive in everything she did. She enjoyed her chicken and egg business, but was best known for her southern hospitality. She always welcomed more guests at mealtime. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 pm. Pastor Rick Fritz will officiate. Interment will be at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp., with a luncheon to follow at Monterey Center United Methodist Church.
