Sarah Lorraine Mabee, 40 of Hopkins, Michigan, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Methodist Hospital. Born March 20, 1981 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she was the daughter of Ronald and Lorraine Mabee and the mother of Ethan Vander Ark. Sarah was a true lover of nature and some of her happiest moments were in the forest surrounded by trees with her feet on a carpet of moss, children and pets laughing and playing around her. She was a sweet kind soul, who loved her family and was so easy to love by anyone who knew her. She was the most amazing daughter, sister, aunt, mother, partner and friend. She loved her dogs, Goulash, Remi and Charlie and her cat of 13 years, Oliver Blue. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ron and Lorraine Mabee; her son, Ethan B. Vander Ark; best friend and fiancée, Tyler Moomey; her five siblings, Jessica (Tim) Hughes, Matthew Mabee, Mitchell McBride, Carley McBride and Kyle (McKenzy) McBride; as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will meet with friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins, Chapel, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time the Celebration of Life will begin. Memorial donations may be made in Sarah's name to a trust fund for Ethan Bradley Vander Ark. Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements. Service Details.
