of Allegan, formerly of Hopkins, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her son's home in Schoolcraft. Mrs. Simpson was born April 25, 1942, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Herman and Dorothy (Wolf) Snoeyink. Sandy worked for the Hopkins Public Schools for 20 years, as a bus driver, cook, and janitor. Surviving are her 2 son's, Jody Simpson of Schoolcaft, and Jason and Stacy Simpson of Allegan, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 brothers, Larry Snoeyink of Cutlerville, Dave Snoeyink of Grand Rapids and Richard and Carole Snoeyink of Kentwood, 3 sisters, Marcia and Frank Wisniewski of Cadillac, Linda and Ken Bever of Kentwood, and Pam and Larry Funk of Hudsonville, several nieces, nephews and cousins, 2 close friends, Bill Vickery and Sandy and Steve Stearns. She was preceded in death by her baby daughter, her son, Jeff, and a sister, Phyllis Sevigney. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 2-4 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 4pm. Trayton Lull will officiate.
