of Allegan, is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Wings Home in Allegan. Ruth was born March 13, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Mildred (Johnson) Olson. On May 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Bill Austin who survives. Ruth graduated from South Haven High School in 1959. She and her husband owned and operated the Chicken Chalet in Allegan for over 27 years. She loved everything about photography, and became very accomplished at her hobby. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Also surviving are her 3 children; Robin and Jim Julian, Lisa and Vince Passorelli, and Chris and Teri Austin, 12 grandchildren; Jeremy and Esther Julian, Danielle and Lucas Keene, Bradley Julian, Grant and Amanda Passorelli, Adam, Zachary, Jonah, and Nathan Passorelli, Cassie Austin, Benjamin Pohl, Derrek Pohl, and Blair and Laura Pohl, 4 great grandchildren; Ava, Daisy, Ryker, and Isabelle, 3 sisters; Lois and Tom Litchford, Carol and Glenn Woolard, Dorothy and John Hadaway, her two best friends; Diane Bevan and Gloria and Harold Osgood. The most important of all her relationships was her relationship with her Lord. The most important purpose in her life was to make sure everyone knew that they could have that same relationship. All you have to do is call upon the name of the Lord and you will be saved. Then you, like her, can say with confidence, "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!" Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life thru Christ Jesus our Lord. Graveside services will be held at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp., on Thursday, May 17, at 2pm. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, May 21, from 11am till service time at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church in Allegan.
