Russell E. Strickfaden, Sr. age 55 of Allegan, died Monday, June 17, 2002 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Strickfaden was born December 20, 1946 in Allegan, MI the son of Russell and Margaret (Hathaway) Strickfaden. He was a 1965 graduate of Allegan High School and had worked at Rockwell Int. for 32 A½ years, the last 14 in Iowa. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; 2 children, Russell & Cari Strickfaden, Jr., Monica & Todd Reich; 3 special sons, Doug, Randy, and Steve; 3 grandchildren, Justin, Travis and Tasha, all of Allegan; 3 brothers, Joe & Shirley Strickfaden of Walhalla, Roger & Janie Strickfaden of Allegan, Tim & Jamie Strickfaden of Allegan; 1 sister, Gladys & Donald Gleason, II, of Allegan; 2 brothers-in-law, Butch Sherwood and Bill Lavette both of Allegan; 2 sisters-in-law, Dawn & Bill Lawson of South Haven, Beverly Hollis of Tennessee, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother, Darlene Lavette, Sue Sherwood and Marty Strickfaden, Sr. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Friday 2:00 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor James H. Turner officiating.
