of Allegan, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Wings Home in Allegan. Mr. Holmes was born April 18, 1921, in Otsego, the son of Frank and Nora Holmes. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII. He worked all of his life and held several jobs with many companies, primarily as a welder. Surviving are his wife Mable, his 4 children; Richard and Merilee Holmes, Linda and Dennis Billman, Christine and Randy Martin, and Roxanne and James McIntyre, 6 step children; Charles and Amy Rustenholtz, William Rustenholtz, Steven and Donna Rustenholtz, Ellen and Ron Dybalski, Jack and Donna Rustenholtz, and Sharon and Joe Wyman, 30 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Roy was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie, twin brothers, Merle and Earl, and his sister, Doris Moran. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 2 pm at Trowbridge Methodist Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Pastor Dale Scholten will officiate.
