Allegan Twp., MI, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Murray was born September 12, 1925 in Parshall, ND, the daughter of William and Mary (Callaghan) Hoffman. She was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1940. She was a member of the Salvation Army and past member of the Women's Relief Corp. Surviving are 5 children, Carol Bowdler of Illinois, Patricia and David Blowers of Allegan, Michael Murray of Pullman, April Johnson of Missouri and Jeanni Murray of Grand Rapids; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Tom and Shirley Hoffman of Allegan; 1 sister, Dorothy and Richard Funk of Hopkins; She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, 2 sons, Ira and William, 1 daughter, Mary, and granddaughter, Marci Murray. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Grand Ravine Community Room, Allegan. Contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
