of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Allegan, parted this life peacefully, Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the St. Leonard Nursing Home under the wonderful care of hospice. Rose was born August 24, 1924, in Berwin, IL, the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Verba) Jirak. She was the head of the alterations department at Jacobson's in Kalamazoo for 27 years, and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years. She moved to St. Leonard's Retirement Community in Dayton in 2001. While there she used her sewing skills in the Mending Souls group that helped residents with clothes that needed mending. She is survived by her daughter Amy and Rick Bartz, her daughter Tessa Thomas, daughter-in-law, Anna Thomas; grandsons, Michael and Christine Bartz, Bob and Tara Bartz; granddaughters, Ann Marie Thomas, Susann and Zechariah Bay; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Glenn in 1993, her daughter Clair Ann; her son, Bruce. Rose was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma. great grandma, and aunt, she will be missed by all. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Allegan, where the Rosary will be recited at 10 am. Interment at the Church Cemetery.
