Allegan, MI, passed away at her home Friday, March 4, 2005. Mrs. Ramey was born April 28, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, of Hungarian Immigrant parentage. She had twice visited relatives in Budapest. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter & Rosa (Nemes) Fakan; sister, Helen Neubauer; 3 brothers, Phillip, Edward and Joseph; and grandson, Christian M. Wentzel. Rose was very skilled in needle-point, having won several commendations for her work, including a prize at the Allegan County Fair. Most of the needle-point creations are now in the prized possession of her children. During the tenure of Father Tom Frisby, Rose was President of St. Mary's Guild of Allegan's Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. She actively participated in her husband's professional decisions and supported his efforts. When it became necessary to rename Allegan Enterprises, Rose came forward with the suggestion to rename the venture TruHeat, which became a leader in the industry. She often entertained customers and shareholders at her home. Rose is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 64 years, Carness; her children, Sheila & Kendrick Wentzel of Maryland, Owen & Dina Ramey of Martin and Debby & Christopher Burnett of Rhode Island; 6 grandchildren, Nandy Boudabbous of Maryland, Heidi Miller of Virginia, Christian Burnett (United States Naval Academy), Owen C. Ramey and Lauren Ramey both of Martin; 2 great grandsons, Alexander & Zachary Boudabbous of Maryland. Friends may meet with the family Sunday, March 13, from 2-4 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services and burial will be private.
