Rose Mary Jones, 91, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her home with her family at her side. Born April 16, 1927 in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Ola (DeBeck) Ketchum. Ms. Jones worked many years at Allegan General Hospital and was a member of the Otsego VFW Post. She enjoyed reading, crafting and hunting a good bargain at a yard sale. Ms. Jones found great joy in dancing whenever the occasion arose, but country music was her favorite. She loved to go for long, relaxing rides through the country, especially when the fall colors were at their peak. Being surrounded by her family was where she was happiest, though. Ms. Jones was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who never stopped worrying that the ones she loved had everything they needed. She is survived by her children, Marla Kollar and husband Mike, Terry Jones and wife Jennifer, Diana Jones and Jerry Jones and wife Kathy; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Jones, Raymond Jones and Roger Jones; two grandchildren, Serena Jones and Seth Green; and her sister, Rose Marie Jordan. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Sousley officiating. Burial will follow in Hudson Corners Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Rose's name to the American Cancer Society, 1400 W. Milham Avenue, Portage, MI 49024.
