of Allegan, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Ely Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Foster was born October 4, 1922, in Allegan, the daughter of William and Susan (Manderfield) Garlock. For the last 30 years of her life, Rose lived with and devoted herself to her family. She was "Grandma Rose" to all her children's and grandchildren's families and friends. She always remembered birthdays and making her famous sugar cookies. She was an avid reader of romance novels, spent many hours playing solitaire, and playing card games with her family. Surviving are her 3 children: Vicki and Dale Tuffelmire, Lacey and Tom Johnson, Laurel and Jack Irons; 2 step children: Joan and James Williams, Kay Looman; 8 grandchildren: Jack Jr., Tori, Brett, Kim, Melissa, Mike, Amanda, Sara; 14 great grandchildren; her brother: Jerry Garlock. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gerald; her grandson Lance; her 2 brothers: Ted and Jim. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, from 11am till 12 noon at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com, where the Memorial Service will be held at noon. Pastor G. Patrick White will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 648 Monroe Ave., NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Private inurnment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery in the spring.
