Allegan Twp., MI, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Kirkland was born February 12, 1928 in Allegan Co., MI, the daughter of Clarence and Elsie (Hall) Norwood. She loved her family and close friends, country music, books, and her cat. Surviving are 1 brother and 1 sister and their spouses, Joseph and Cecilla Norwood of Maryland, and Elsie and Royal Thayer of Allegan; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 2002; 6 sisters; and 2 brothers. Friends may meet with the family from 12 noon Tuesday, until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Dave Alderman officiating.
