Ronald Terry Moored, 70, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Wings Home. Born May 15, 1950 in Allegan, he was the son of the late Mildred (Strickfaden) Moored and was the husband of Vickie (Allen) Moored. Ronald had served honorably in the United States Navy in Viet Nam. He later had worked as a welder, material handler and a farmer. Ronald was a dedicated, hard working man who always made sure his family was well taken care of. He loved to watch over the family farm and care for the racehorses they raised, especially when the foals were born in the springtime. In his spare time, Ronald was often on the golf course playing a round with his buddies, Larry and Phil. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mike (April) Moored; daughter, Jodi Moored; siblings, Marilyn (Bill) Ziegler and Clyde (Marilyn) Moored; grandchildren, Noah, John (Tess Smith) Jake and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Jadelyn, Breleigh, Laiton and Lyric, who is expected to make his debut in the coming days; dear friend, Roger Smith, who was like a son to him; and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service with military honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
