Watson Twp., Michigan, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his home. Mr. Danz was born Sept. 22, 1940 in Monroe, the son of Earl and Ruth (Hotchkiss) Danz. He had been employed for 25 years at the Kent County Landfill and worked as a heavy equipment operator through out his life. He was a member of the NRA and an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed camping, mushrooming - anything outdoors, and playing and watching football. Surviving are 2 sons and their wives, Steven and Shari Danz of Watson Twp. and Duane and Mary Danz of Byron Center; 7 grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer)VanDenBerg, Rachel, Jamie, Nicole, James, Dalton and Dylan Danz; 1 sister, Sharon (Ronald) Florian of Hopkins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Zinner. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Watson Twp. Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
