of Allegan, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Mr. Callender was born August 21, 1941 in Ligonier, IN, the son of Ralph and Faye (Fisher) Callender. Ron graduated from Allegan High School in 1959, and worked for over 30 years with Rockwell in Allegan, and Iowa. He loved the outdoors and spent time golfing, fishing and hunting. He loved his family and friends and he will be dearly missed. Surviving are his wife, Christine, his daughter, Rhonda and Larry Broadhurst, his son, Todd Callender all of Allegan, 3 grandchildren, Heather and Gary Burd, Jason Broadhurst and Noah Baker, 2 great grandchildren, Daelan and Hailey Burd, 3 sisters, Carolyn Slade of Allegan, Darlene (Gerry) Olson of Hopkins and Jacqueline Fishburn of Allegan. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his 4 legged companion, Kacey. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 1-3 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the memorial service will be held at 3 pm. Pastor Karen Fitz LaBarge from the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Private graveside services will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
