of Portage, formerly of Gobles, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital. Mr. Kelly was born January 22, 1937 in Trowbridge Twp., the son of Wayne and Maude (Hettinger) Kelly. Roger graduated from the Allegan High School in 1955, he worked for Northstar for over 40 years and farmed in the area all of his life. Surviving are his wife, Sharon, 3 children, Debra and Brian Farris of Kalamazoo, Daniel and Mary Kelly of Holland, and David and Tracy Kelly of Portage, 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Kandice, Andre, Wesley, Zacharie and Rachel, 1 brother, Franklin and Deloris Kelly of Gobles, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Petroshus. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am. Pastor Gail Pike will officiate. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Southwest Michigan Hospice or American Cancer Society.
