Rodney Leggett, 66 of Allegan, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home. Mr. Leggett was born October 20, 1950 in Allegan, the son of the late Wilbur and Mary (Weaver) Leggett. Rod was a Class of 1968 Allegan High School graduate and also a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the GM plant in Kalamazoo for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He also worked for the Allegan County Sheriff's Department. Rod spent a lot of time working, but he also knew how to relax and enjoy himself. He loved watching sports and especially loved his Michigan Wolverine's. Spending time with his family and friends always meant a lot to him. He tried to make the most of each day and will be missed greatly. Rod is survived by his wife, Nan; his children: Jamie and Mary Leggett, and Jason and Jamie Leggett; 5 grandchildren: Brianna, Chase, Taryn, Evie and Tori; and his sister, Becky Leggett. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine and granddaughter, Allyson. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
