Hedberg, Rodney H., of Allegan, died Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Rod was born May 23, 1945 in Allegan, the son of Vernon & Glayds Hamlyn Hedberg. He graduated from the Allegan High School in 1966, and had worked for over 23 years for Rockwell Int. and was currently employed by J.H. Packaging for the past 6 years. On February 12, 1966 Rodney married Mary M. Kenworthy who survives, also surviving are 2 children & spouses; Cathleen Hamlyn & Fred Miller of Hopkins and Dale Vernon & Ana Lucia Hedberg of Allegan, 4 grandchildren; Charles Vernon and Elizabeth Hamlyn Miller and Levi Vernon & Asher Vernon Hedberg, his mother & father in law, Dale & Caterina Kenworthy of Alabama. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 6-9 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the First Congregational Church in Allegan. Pastors Barry Lucas & Dr. Ralph Chandler will officiate. Private family interment will take place in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wings of Hope Hospice
