Obituary

Robin Hope (Whitcomb) Nation, born September 19, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 66 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Affectionately known as Grammy to her beloved grandchildren, Robin was a devoted mother and grandmother who poured her whole heart into her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and dedicated her life to making sure they had a better future. Her greatest joy in later years was spending time with her grandchildren — singing, dancing, and laughing with them during family gatherings and quiet everyday moments. These times brought her immense happiness and light. Known for her warm presence, unconditional love, and quiet strength, Robin found deep fulfillment in simply being with her family. Her devotion created a lasting legacy that will live on through the generations she nurtured.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Janet Whitcomb; her sister, Dawn Hamblin; and her loving dog and faithful companion, Skippy.

She is survived by her two children: Levi (Allyson) Nation and Ava Nation (Dustin); her cherished grandchildren: Torei Nation, Zayne Kern, Zander Kern, Royce Nation, Felix Nation, and Weston Nation; and one grandchild on the way, expected in September 2026.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Her family will forever carry the warmth of her love and the strength of her devotion in their hearts.
