Roberta Lee Covault, 84 of Allegan, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home. Born July 21, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Delbridge) Hare and the wife of Calvin C. Covault. Much of Roberta's life was spent working as a payroll clerk for various companies, along with a few other jobs, prior to her retirement. She and Calvin raised three sons and a daughter and were blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Roberta was a member of the Trowbridge Community Church. She enjoyed reading and working on her crafts, however, many would say that she liked to talk the most. Worrying came easy for Roberta and having so many in her family gave her a lot to worrying about! She was a kind-hearted woman who loved going with her husband on their weekly Sunday breakfast outing. Her presence in their lives will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband of 66 years, Calvin, she is survived by her children, Mark (Jackie) Covault, Randy (Diane) Covault, Bruce (Kristie) Covault and Melinda Knapp; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Along with her parents, Harold and Marie, she was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Robert Hare. To celebrate her life, the family will meet with friends at the Merson Church on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, at which time the funeral service will begin, Pastor Alan Carson, Sr. officiating.
