of Allegan, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011. Age 62 years. He was born February 15, 1949, the son of the late George R. and Wanda J. (Gillispie) Zecklin. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Bravo Christian Reformed Church in Fennville. He worked for Holland Hitch for many years. Robert was married to Mary (Bremer) Zecklin; she preceded him in death on December 16, 2002. Surviving are two children, Michael Zecklin of Cape Coral, FL and Brandy Cates of Allegan; three grandchildren, Felicia Cates, Jessie Cates and Laura Cates; three brothers, Kenneth (Frances) Zecklin, John (Julie) Zecklin and Max (Christine) Zecklin; and one sister, Linda (Joe) Christopher. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy DeBoer. No funeral service is planned at this time.
