Allegan, MI, died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at his home. Bob was born July 9, 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Robert and Judy (Alles) VanderMeer. He was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1981 and had attended Bob Jones Univ. in Greenville, SC for 2 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and had been employed at the Perrigo Co. for 15 years. Surviving are 1 daughter, Maria VanderMeer of Allegan; mother and stepfather, Judy and Royal Grewe of Allegan; grandparents, Bessie Alles of Battle Creek and Farrell and Tillie Lehigh of Grand Rapids; 2 brothers, James VanderMeer of Allegan and Paul VanderMeer of Birmingham; 4 sisters, Nancy and Jim Buczynski of Belmont, Denise Hubert of Hudsonville, Mary Ellis of Allegan and Pam and Steve Butler of Grandville; 5 nieces and nephews, Jenny Good, Justin Birkholz, Brittany Hubert, Collin Butler and Noah Butler; 1 great niece, Madelyn Good. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and grandfather, Peter Alles. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Ivan Niswender officiating.
