Age 91, of Largo, Florida, formerly of Allegan, Michigan, died Friday, August 5, 2005 at Palm Gardens of Pinellas, Florida. Mr. Thompson was born July 28, 1914, the son of Glenn and Iva Thompson. His wife, Maxine, preceded him in death in 2001. He had been employed as a machinist for Blood Brothers, Rockwell Int., for 34 years. He and his wife retired to Largo, Florida in 1974, returning to Allegan in the summers. Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Betty and Dick Gurn of Allegan and Largo, FL; 3 grandchildren, William and Donna Rae Gurn of Allegan, Donna Brown of Allegan, and Robert and Kristine Gurn of Houston, TX; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Pastor Raymond Mayhew officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
