Selby, Robert L., 85, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Mr. Selby was born in Salem Township on February 2, 1931, the son of Benjamin and Josephine (Kelso) Selby. He spent over 25 years as a crane operator working for Winchester Steel in Allegan. Robert enjoyed spending time outside and he especially loved to hunt and run his dogs. Robert is survived by his eight children: Floyd and Roxanne Selby, Larry Selby, Juanita and James Munger, Keith and Paulette Selby, Lois DeVriendt, Barb and Mark Russell, Sally and Bruce Brinks, Daryl and Char Selby; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee Selby; and one sister, Ruthann and Jerry Schricker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann; granddaughter, Kimmie; great granddaughter, Jaidyn; great grandson, Hayden; five brothers: Ray, Bud, Mick, Bern and Tom; one sister, Jenny; and his son-in-law, John DeVriendt. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 5th at Salem Township Cemetery, Burnips, Comer Skinner officiating.
