Robert William Ritz, 45 of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital on Monday, March 11, 2019. Born June 9, 1973 in Allegan, Michigan, he was the son of Thomas William and Linda Lou (Keech) Ritz. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and then went on to attain his master's degree from Western Michigan University. Robert continued to serve his country as a Claims Processor for the Veteran Administration until his recent retirement. Traveling within the states and overseas was a great love of Robert's and he was looking forward to doing more traveling in his retirement. For fun and entertainment, you could find Robert playing Xbox with his family every Saturday morning, creating great family time and cherished memories. He also had a love for his motorcycle and enjoyed his time riding. Robert's kind and caring ways will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Along with his parents, Robert is survived by his sister, Sara and brother-in-law, Joseph Diani, his 2 cats, Biggy and Cookee, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Betty Keech and Donna (Ritz) and Harry Hughes and his uncle, Stephen Keech, Sr. Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Assembly of God Church at 11:00 AM, Pastor Paul Hays officiating.
