Byron Center, MI, formerly of Wayland, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Railside Living Center in Byron Center. Mr. Pueschel was born March 14, 1919 in Hopkins, the son of Martin and Elizabeth (Wamhoff) Pueschel. He graduated from Hopkins High School in 1937 and was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force, serving during World War II. He was a dairy farmer in the Hopkins area most of his life and was a charter member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr. Surviving are 2 daughters, Elizabeth Link of Canada and Rosemary and Tom Lambert of Shelby; 2 granddaughters, Helena and Alison; 2 great- granddaughters, Charlotte and Abby Rose; 1 sister, Vivian Roberts, of Hopkins; 2 sisters-in-law, Margaret Pueschel of Sturgis and Hulda Puschel of Hopkins; 1 brother-in-law, Woody Haveman of Ohio, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Wilma Sebright. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, 4 brothers, Bruno, Albert, Ernie and Edgar, 3 sisters, Lily Duryee, Alma Haveman, and Esther Pueschel. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Epiphany Lutheran Church in Dorr. Pastor Jonathon Krenz officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. Memorials may be made to the Epiphany Lutheran Church.
