Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Allegan General Hospital. Rob was born January 10, 1967 in Plainwell, the son of Eddie and Nancy (Hale) Otto. He was an Obama supporter and believed in the caring organization of Wings of Hope Hospice. He was on the heart transplant list at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Surviving is his life partner, Eric Small, of Allegan, Eric's and Rob's mother and stepfather, Everlenia and Eddie Simmons of Chicago; 1 brother, Gerard and Cheryl Otto of Allegan; 3 sisters, Teresa Myers and her partner, Martha Meek, Laurie Wade and her partner, Albert Wielinga, and Lisa Sweet and her partner, Christopher Lukins, all of Allegan; a host of nieces, nephews and loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Wyatt T. Sweet. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 2, at 1 p.m. at the Allegan Place/Community Center, 330 Trowbridge St., Allegan, MI. Contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
