View Photo Tribute Allegan, MI, went to be with his Lord Friday, March 3, 2006. Mr. Ninke was born August 16, 1923 in Geneva Twp., Van Buren County, the son of Paul & Theresa (Warskow) Ninke. He was a life-member of St. John Lutheran Church in Allegan and had worked for Rockwell for more than 31 years, retiring in 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII, and was a very devoted husband & father. Surviving are 3 children, Marclyn and Kenneth Hoyt of Okemos, Ronald and Karen Ninke of Portage and Arlene and Steve Barber of Otsego; 5 grandchildren, Daniel and Kelly Hoyt, Matthew, Chase, Jessica and Angela; 1 sister, Ella Daily of Arizona; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (Eckert) in 2003, whom he married August 19, 1945; also 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.
