Robert Allen Hopson, 25 of Fennville, died Saturday, September 25, 2004. Robert was born September 25, 1979 in Allegan, MI the son of Robert Bruce and Denise Joy (Genther) Hopson.He had attended Fennville High School and later did get his GED. He was a chef. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Denise & Robert Arens of West Olive; father & stepmother, Bruce and Virginia Hopson of Fennville; 2 brothers, Richard & Amanda Hopson of Pullman, Ronnie & Kelly Hopson of Allegan; 7 stepbrothers and sisters, Charlie & Lynette Conklin of Augusta, Cindy & Bob Bush of Portage, Joe & Heather Conklin of Battle Creek, Amanda Nielson of Pullman, Candy Arens, Bobby Arens, and Tina & Alex Bardocz all of Allegan; grandfather, Ron Genther; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard & Rosie Strickfaden and Joyce Hallsworth. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am. Pastor Nathan Kelch officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
