of Allegan, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Holthouse was born February 23, 1923 in Chicago, the son of Harry and Jessie (Stevenson) Holthouse. Bob retired from the City of Chicago, as a machinist in 1980, after 27 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. He was a member of the Ben Hur Masonic Lodge in Chicago. Bob loved to shoot trap and skeet, and was a member of both Allegan and Fennville Rod and Gun Club. Surviving are his companion, Mildred Whitcomb of Allegan, brother-in-law, George and Jane Erickson of MA, 1 nephew, Bruce Holthouse, 2 nieces, Pam and Tom Harris and Beth Kendrick, dear friends and caretakers, Bob and Rosie Waychoff and Denise and David Volker. He was preceded in death by his 2 wives; Emily and Kay, 2 sisters; Beth and Virginia, and 2 brothers; Harry and Bruce. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, May 27, for 1 hour prior to the service at 12 noon, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
