of Allegan, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Rob was born July 21, 1965, in Plainwell, the son of Robert and Laura (Root) Harps. He loved to help his friends and family, he was a handyman, and could fix or repair just about anything. He loved to cook, enjoyed spending time fishing, and loved taking care of his cats. Surviving are his mother, Laura "Jean" Cunningham; his brother, Dale Harps and his companion, Robin LaDuke and her daughter, Rachel; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Harps, and his son, John Aleman. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 11-12 noon, with a Celebration of Life Service at noon, all held at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
