Mesick, Michigan, formerly of Allegan, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at his home. Mr. Graves was born February 10, 1918 in Albany, NY, the son of Albert and Ellen (Rabideau) Graves. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served for more than 7A½ years. He retired in 1988 from Mac Sim Bar after 32 years of service. Surviving are his wife, June; 7 children, Joe and Sharon Graves of Otsego, Jim and Donna Graves of Portage, Mary and Gary Emmons of Allegan, John Graves of Allegan, Lib Graves of Mesick, Steve and Virginia Graves of Virginia, and Jeff and Rhonda Graves of Allegan; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren, 1 cousin, Erma Recore and 1 uncle, Roy Rabideau both of New York. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark, and 2 grandchildren, Buddy and Danny. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Rev. Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen officiating.
