Obituary

Allegan, Michigan went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 31, 2005. Mr. Farmer was born May 28, 1930 in Hillsdale County, MI, the son of Lee and Essie (Sheffield) Farmer. He was a member of the Dunningville Reformed Church and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. He loved restoring antique cars and tractors and was a lifetime member of the Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restorers Club, a member of the Tin Lizzie Travelers Club and the Model T International. He was employed at Fuller Transmission in Kalamazoo and at BLD in Holland before retiring. He also enjoyed camping and his Boston Terrier, Buster, but most of all he loved his family. Surviving are his wife, Norma (Brindley); 3 children and their spouses, Ronald Lee and Debra Farmer of Allegan, Randy and Dorene Farmer of Otsego, and Roxanne and Dean Nevenzel of Allegan; 6 grandchildren, Zach Nevenzel, Emily Nevenzel, Ashley Farmer, Arlen Farmer, Tyler Farmer and Travis Farmer; 1 brother and his wife, George and Julia Farmer of Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Donald Dee Farmer. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Dunningville Reformed Church. Pastor Tim Tenclay officiating. Interment Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Dunningville Reformed Church.
