Allegan, MI, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mr. Evans was born May 4, 1925 in Grand Junction, MI, the son of Homer and Pearl (King) Evans. He had been employed at Pickett & Schreur road construction for 25 years. Surviving are 4 children, Gary and Laura Evans of Allegan, Kay Floria of Oregon, Diane and George Dietrich of Allegan and Ellen and Tom Bumpus of California; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Jerret of Kalamazoo, Blanche Wilkinson of South Haven and Maude Butler of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelle, and 7 brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
