Allegan, MI, died Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Engle was born April 28, 1927 in South Bend, IN, the son of George and Gladys (Judd) Engle. He had served in the U.S. Navy and the Army Air Force for 17 years. Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Brooks); 3 children, Steve of California, Carl of Arizona and Linda of Washington; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother and his wife, Harry and Joyce Engle; 1 sister, Nancy Buckhold, all of Marcellus; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul, and daughter, Susan Girke. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
