84, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Jordan's Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan. He was born on April 28, 1928 in Monterey Township, Michigan, the son of Harry and Irene (Beck) Commons. Robert worked for Rockwell for 39 years, having retired in 1985. He also was a member of The United Methodist Church in Allegan for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife Beverly; his children Gary (Susan) Commons; his grandson Tadd; his great-grandchildren Brieana, Britney, and Quentin; his brothers Basil (Frances) Commons and Dennis (Lois) Commons; his sisters Hazel (Henry) Politica, Norma Punches and Gayle (Lawrence) Bleeker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his brothers Max and Paul Commons. A graveside service and inurnment will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Township Cemetery, Salem Township, Michigan. Pastor Robert Lynch will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
