Robert Bruce Hopson, 69, of Fennville, MI passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026 at his home. Born January 29, 1957 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Jack Sherman and Rosie (Hayes) Hopson and was the husband of Virginia May (Hamm) Hopson.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his son, Richard Hopson; stepchildren, Charlie (Lynette) Conklin, Cindy (Bob) Bush and Joe (Heather) Conklin; siblings, Jackie Hopson, JoAnn (Rich) Lewis, Robin Iehl, Sherman Hopson Brenda (Al) Day, Maryann Hopson, Kevin (Nicki) Hopson, Heather (Jessie) Royal, Syndall Hopson and John Hopson; brother-in-law, Dale (Lisa) Wadsworth; grandchildren, Richard Hopson, Dillon Hopson, Kole Hopson, Meryssa Hopson, Destiny Ramirez, Treah Hopson, Luke Conklin, Shannon Willever, Samantha Conklin, Blake Conklin, Ethan Conklin, Xavier Bush and Khidan Bush; and great-grandchild, Aubree Conklin. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Hopson, Ronnie Allen Hopson and Tommy Strickfaden.

A memorial service will take place at Trowbridge Community Church on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Robert will be laid to rest following the service in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
