Rikko Lee Rivera, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2022. He was born February 12, 1990 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Rhonda and Dave Johnson. Raised in Southwest Michigan, he graduated from Allegan Public Schools. As a youth he enjoyed skateboarding and spending countless hours in the woods hunting with his dad and siblings. Always a hard worker, he went on to carry jobs as a er/press operator. Rikko's greatest accomplishment was becoming a father to son Jayce age 7 and two daughters Henslee age 2 and 4-month-old Eloise whom he shared with his devoted Fiancée Shyann Sinkler. He passed down his passion for hunting and fishing to Jayce who adored hanging with his dad while casting a line or keeping an eye out for big bucks. Snuggles and time spent with his two daughters showed his softer side. He was a devoted family man whose children brought out his tender heart and always put a big smile on his face. Rikko was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Darlina Phillips, Sue Heintzelman and Terry Johnson Sr. whom we are certain welcomed him into their loving arms. Rikko is survived by his parents Rhonda Johnson (Dan Sisco) and Dave Johnson (Nora); his Fiancée Shyann Sinkler and their two daughters Henslee and Eloise; his son Jayce (Chantel Gomber); brothers Felix Rivera II, Garret Rivera, Dylan Johnson, sister Ashlin Edema (Dalton); his nephew Christian, nieces Lillyana, Paisley, Everley and Aria; many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins as well as the Sinkler and Gomber families. He is also survived by longtime friends Tyler Moureau, Nate Richardson and Josh Lampros. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22nd, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Home located at 208 W. Main Street, Hopkins, MI. A funeral service, also located at Gorden in Hopkins will take place on Thursday, June 23rd at 11:00 AM followed by a luncheon at Salem Township Hall located at 3003 142nd Ave, Dorr, MI.
