Ricky Donald Blair came into this world on August 5, 1957, and departed this world on July 7, 2022. Some of his favorite memories from his childhood was spending time in the summer at their cottage on Payne Lake. After he graduated from high school, he began work at ElectroHeat, Inc. in Allegan.
In 1983 he met his future wife, Ruth Blaha, at ElectroHeat when she began working in the office. Over the years he loved taking his family camping and just finding things to do around the area with kids, then grandkids. He also loved ministering to children at church as well as to young men at the jail, at the juvenile home, and as a mentor at the elementary school. He went to Bible studies with Tom Harmon at one point in his life and gained a deep love for scripture and memorizing scripture. He learned over the years not to just have it in his head but in his life.
Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth, his children Keith of Grand Rapids and Jessica (AJ) of Holland, and grandsons Sebastian, Edison, and Baxter. He also is survived by his father Don (Carole), his siblings Sue (Dave), Judy (Richard), Dave, and Sandy. His mother-in-law as well as brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews, and 2 great-great grandnephews were part of his family. Family who pre-deceased him are his sister Mary, mother Lucille, father-in-law Karl, and grandson Taylor.
Ricks Celebration of life and home-going service will be at First Baptist Church of Allegan, July 13, 2022. Visitation will be from noon - 1:00pm with his service starting at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to Rectify Church,
