STRICKFADEN, Richard L. Allegan Twp., MI, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002. Mr. Strickfaden was born Jan. 9, 1937 in Monterey Twp., the son of John and Gladys (Robinson) Strickfaden. He had been a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. Surviving are 7 children and their spouses, Guy and Anna Strickfaden of Bangor, Victor and Diana Strickfaden and Kevin and Kathy Strickfaden all of Fennville, Robin Strickfaden and Bernard Iehl of Allegan, Robert and Virginia Hopson of Fennville, Joann and Richard Lewis of Grand Junction and Jackie Hopson of Allegan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert Strickfaden of Sand Lake; 2 sisters, Marie Benson of Allegan and Iva Russell of Fennville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie, son, Tom and 2 sisters, Viola Holmes and Ethel Ritchie. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Chaplain William Brady officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. with military honors provided by the Otsego V.F.W. Post #3030.
