of Allegan. Passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012 at Allegan General Hospital with his loving family at his side. Age 73 years. Dick was born in Grand Rapids on January 10, 1939, the son of the late Kenneth and Agnes (Barnes) Milhiem. Dick graduated from Allegan High School in 1957. He served with the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He owned and worked at his familys' business, Ken's Tire Service. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed golfing at the Ot-Well-Egan Country Club. He was a member of the Paw Paw/Allegan Elks Lodge and the Allegan Eagles Club. On December 12, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marlene Stanton; she survives him. Surviving besides his wife are three children, Brenda Waigand of Allegan, Becky (Paul) Klein of Otsego and Jeff (Tracey) Milhiem of Allegan; seven grandchildren, Sarah (Eric) Ramsson, Travis Waigand, Jill Waigand, Derek Klein, Jared Klein, Amber Smith and Bridget Milhiem; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Eleanor) Milhiem; one sister, Joan Rininger; his mother-in-law, Doris Goff; and his brother-in-law, Ronald Stanton. Dick was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Emma Smith; his brother-in-law, Neven Rininger; and his sister-in-law, Linda Stanton. Friends may meet with the family from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Stover will officiate with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Dollars for Scholars or the Wings Home in Allegan.
