Allegan, MI, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Thursday, February 15, 2007. Mr. Hoyer was born July 5, 1931 in Grand Rapids, the son of Frederick and Virginia (Bush) Hoyer. He had been self-employed as a floor installer for many years and had also owned and operated Maverick Sport Center in Allegan. He was a long-time Allegan resident who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and all sporting events. Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Truax); 3 sons, Lon Hoyer and Jane Waanders, Bruce and Gloria Hoyer and Rick and Dawn Hoyer, all of Allegan; 4 grandchildren, Heather, Brandi, Carissa, and Cole; 1 sister, Suzanne; 2 half-brothers, Gary and Corky; 4 half-sisters, Dixie, Carol, Barb, and Sue. Private family services have taken place.
