of Allegan, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at his home. Rick was born December 6, 1954, in Allegan, the son of George and Jean (Hewitt) Gibson. Rick graduated from Allegan High School in 1973, and attended KVCC. He was an accomplished tennis player in high school, and had a passion for the game of golf, and enjoyed growing things in his garden. He worked as a surveyor for several years with the Allegan County Road Commission, and was also a licenced builder, he worked together with David Senkus on many projects, and most recently with Beaudoin Construction. Rick loved his friends and family, and was always there to lend a hand. Surviving are his wife, Karen, 2 sons, Matthew and Marcus both of Kalamazoo, his step daughter, Cambria of Chicago, his mother, Jean Gibson of Allegan, 1 brother, Dan and Lecia Gibson of Allegan, his sister, Vicki and Bill Carroll of Allegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his long time friend, Chuck and Mary Waanders. He was preceded in death by his father, George. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 3-5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 pm. Pastor Len Schildroth, from Friendship Bible Church, will officiate. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility.
