Richard Cook, age 64, of Allegan, MI passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side following complications from his courageous fight with cancer. He was born January 7, 1956 to the late Laverne and Margaret Cook. He was proud to share with those he met that he and his wife, Tina Marie (Chappell) Cook, would be celebrating thirty years of marriage in February 2020. Rich enjoyed fishing and loved all the times he spent by Big Red or trolling around Wetmore Lake. His hobby was collecting fishing lures. He spent many hours searching antique stores and ebay. Rich is survived by his wife of nearly thirty years, Tina (Chappell) Cook; children, Brandon and Katie Newhouse, and Abby Cook and Joe Haas; grandson, Brayden Haas; brothers, Larry Cook and David Cook; sister, Mary and Mike Weatherbee; and sister-in-law, Bette Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laverne and Margaret Cook; and his son, Jeremy Cook; his brother, Robert Cook; and his sister-in-law, Pat Cook. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 PM.
